Yolanda Cotton
Yolanda Cotton, MSN, RN, AMB-BC, LNC, BLS Instructor - is the President and CEO of Abundant Legal Nurse Consulting, PLLC. Yolanda started her nursing career as a Licensed Practical Nurse in Birmingham, Alabama. Her 16 years of experience included Family Practice, Home Health & Hospice, Long Term Care and Nephrology. As a Registered Nurse, Yolanda has over 7 years of experience in many disciplines such as Medical- Surgical, Ambulatory Care and PeriAnesthesia. She is Board Certified in Ambulatory Care.
Her unique start in legal nurse consulting came about as she would assist her brother, the late Attorney Franklin D. Ball, with personal injury cases. She provided custom reports, summaries, and chronological timelines that saved Attorney Ball valuable time and resources. Attorney Ball’s tutelage and motivation influenced her to pursue a career in legal nurse consulting.
Yolanda is an American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) Instructor. She holds memberships in American Association of Legal Nurse Consultants (AALNC), American Academy of Ambulatory Nurses (AAACN), American Nurses Association (ANA), Texas Nurses Association (TNA), American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (ASPAN) and Texas Association of PeriAnesthesia Nurses (TAPAN), and Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI).
Yolanda has a passion for serving her community and is proud of her association and partnering with her church to meet the needs of the community.
